From an original ink painting 34¼ inches tall x 17¼ inches wide. The full size print (image) is 31 ¾ tall by 16 inches wide (approx) and the half size print (image) 16 tall by 8 inches wide (approx).

This was painted in early summer 2014 and is one of my new inks, painted using only droppers and a water spray. I’ve always been fascinated with the sand on Porthmellon beach. It contains mica and black grains which look almost like oil. But it’s not pollutants of any kind, it’s the natural make up of the beach. On the original I incorporated this sand in with the ink on the painting itself.
