"Gazanias on the Strand", St Marys, Isles of Scilly
The original of this seascape painting was created in watercolour with some pastel and was the same size as the large print we offer (about twenty seven and a half inches tall by nine and three quarter inches wide). This seascape was painted on bright summer afternoons in 2009, just opposite Seaview Moorings on the Strand, overlooking the harbour and you can see beyond the Lifeboat slip to Round Island Lighthouse in the distance. These colourful bright yellow and orange gazanias grow very well on the sunny wall.
