The original of this seascape painting was created in watercolour with some pastel and was the same size as the large print we offer (about twenty seven and a quarter inches wide by nine and three quarter inches tall). I started painting this seascape on the little scrap of land between Porthcressa and Little Porth on mornings in April 2010. Captain Clouet and his wife, of the yacht 'Saint Ildut' in the centre of the bay, saw me painting just after I had painted the sky and (fortunately) the yachts. They were on the Saint Ildut's maiden voyage and about to embark on a round-the-world trip! Needless to say, he now owns the original and I hope it hangs in his home in Brittany or on the yacht itself.
