The original of this seascape painting was created in watercolour and was the same size as the large print we offer (about twenty seven and a half inches wide by by nine and three quarter inches tall).It was painted overlooking Star Castle in the early summer of 2006, looking out between the islands towards Tresco and St Martins. There is a fine view from up by the castle and I wanted to get the impression of a big sky. The foxgloves in the foreground were growing in the rough undergrowth amongst the young bracken.
