This seascape was painted in the spring of 2010, from the north end of Porthloo beach. The beach faces west and so we have a magnificent view of the sun setting. This view shows Taylors Island, which I believe, gets its name from the rock formation looking like a tailor bending over his work. On this particular evening, the sunset was calm and beautiful.
