This was painted on afternoons in the June of 2011 at Mount Todden, just after I finished the 'Arums, Mount Todden' painting. This tree stands alone on the exposed east coast of St Marys and leans away from the sea. It had just finished flowering but I still liked the colour and shape of the tree itself. You hardly see anyone here as it is away from the main path, which I feel adds to the atmosphere of the location.
