This is the first of five ink paintings from the same place at Bar Point, a sand bar on the north coast of St Marys. These works were painted in similar conditions, but at different random points and stages of tides, sometimes going in, sometimes going out. However, I've kept the horizon at the same level and they are in sequence, together forming a wide panorama.
The moon and its pull on our oceans affects our view of time. It's an unstoppable force of nature.
"Time and tide wait for no man".
