"Giant's Castle", St Mary's, Isles of Scilly
"Giant's Castle", St Mary's, Isles of Scilly

Painted with inks in October 2020. This is a natural rock promontory, enhanced by ditches on the landward side during the Iron Age to make it into a hill fort. A fine view! How many have stood here, watching for invaders, determined to defend themselves? The seas have been attacking these rocks for thousands of years, yet they are still here and probably will be, long after we have gone.
