From an original ink painting 34¼ inches wide x 17¼ inches tall. The full size print (image) is 31 ¾ wide by 16 inches tall (approx) and the half size print (image) 16 wide by 8 inches tall (approx).
This was painted in the late summer of 2015, using just droppers and a water spray. It was evening and I was high up on the hill below the campsite walk, looking west towards St Agnes, the Western Isles and Bishop Rock Lighthouse. It was the light in the sky that attracted me together with the light on the surface of the sea. I painted a watercolour from this spot too, showing more of the foreground, but I believe this painting conveys more of a sense of space and the majesty of the panorama.
