The original of this seascape painting was created in watercolour with some pastel and was the same size as the large print we offer (about twenty seven and a half inches tall by nine and three quarter inches wide). This was painted in the summer of 2006 on Porthloo bank, before the sea defence works were carried out in 2014. The ground had been disturbed that winter and, as often happens, red and purple poppies had appeared amongst the other wild flowers. Here I am looking over Newford Island sand bar towards the Garrison and St Marys Harbour.
