The original of this seascape painting was created in watercolour with some pastel and was the same size as the large print we offer (about twenty seven and a half inches wide by nine and three quarter inches tall). This was painted in the summer of 2006, on Porthcressa bay looking towards Peninnis headland. It is a similar view to 'Porthcressa Palms' which I painted six years before but this one is in landscape format. The magnificent blue agapanthus have done very well here and have rather taken over, but looked spectacular on this bright afternoon. This part of the bay was damaged some years before in a big storm and the rocks at this end of the bay were brought in to reinforce the shoreline, consequently they are a different colour.
