This garden landscape was painted in watercolour with some pastel and the original painting was approx 17 ¾ inches square.
This landscape was painted in Carreg Dhu Garden in the autumn of 2005. This stone-flagged patio with its table, chairs and pots is a quiet spot to sit and enjoy this special place. I enjoy painting in this public garden because the birds are so tame and the gardens have a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere. They are not as grand as Tresco Abbey Gardens but, to my mind, are just as beautiful. This is due to the hard work of the volunteers who help to look after the garden.
