This landscape was painted in late May 2010 and was the third painting in a row that I did near here on the Garrison, starting with 'Sea Pinks towards St Agnes', next 'Valerian White Horses, and then this one, just past the valerian. I kept seeing new subjects. Here the Dracaena palm is in flower as are the erigeron and mesembryanthemums on the wall. People who saw me must have thought I was camping out! This is looking back along the Garrison lane to the north with Tresco in the distance. I usually cycled to this location and, if you look at the battery wall to the right, you can just see the front wheel of my bike.
