This was painted at the end of June in 2011. I tried several times to paint on the off-islands this year but lack of consistent good weather and other commitments obstructed me. However, this was painted on a beautiful extended weekend, the last in June. On the Sunday, a cricket match was being played on the pitch by the sea below me, and it seemed that everyone on the island passed me by at least once! I was greatly helped by friends, Nigel and Carol, who were visiting St Martins on their own boat. I was able to stay on into the evening and, after a well earned pint at the hotel, they gave me a lift back to St Marys. It was a hot fantastic day! Dimensions:
- full size print image - twenty seven inches tall by nine and a half inches wide,
- half size print image - fifteen and three quarter inches tall by five and a half inches wide.
