This was painted in the June of 2011. It is my favourite of the sculptures in the Abbey Gardens and was sculpted from thickly veined marble by David Wynne in 1990. It has a beautiful pink colour which is echoed by the planting in the foreground. Returning after painting on the first day, I told my wife that I had spent it staring at a beautiful nude woman. She did not seem to worried! Dimensions: twenty seven inches tall by nine and a half inches wide.
