"Sharks Pit, Low Tide", St Marys, Isles of Scilly
"Sharks Pit, Low Tide", St Marys, Isles of Scilly

This seascape was painted on mornings in early March 2011. Sharks Pit is a rocky area between Porthloo beach and Thomas Porth. I just liked the jumble of rocks and the amazing colours. It's an area where we used to play as kids when we visited my Uncle and Aunt. In the distance is Tresco and you can just make out Tresco Abbey in the centre The middle distance shows Taylors Island and the sand bar to across to Newford Island.
Dimensions:
- full size print image - twenty seven inches by nine and a half inches (approx)
- half size print image - fifteen and three quarter inches by five and a half inches (approx)
