This seascape was painted in watercolour with some pastel and the original painting was 27 1/2 inches tall x 9 3/4 inches wide.
This was painted, (balanced rather precariously) on a rocky wall early Summer 2004 on Porth Hellick Bay. The rock really does look like a loaded camel and stands out impressively on the skyline. I was drawn by the wonderful lichens growing on the granite wall complimenting the strongly scented honeysuckle. It was mid morning and I was joined by a female blackbird who arrived too late to join me in my breakfast.
