This seascape, in watercolour with some pastel, was painted in the summer of 2008. The original painting was about the same size as the full size print we offer, approx nine and three quarter inches wide wide by twenty seven and three quarter inches tall . On the battlements of Star Castle on the Garrison of St Marys, above the main entrance, is a fine bell and a very fine view beyond. As usual, this was a rather precarious painting position! On the horizon you can see the distant island of Tresco with its Abbey and also Bryher. I particularly liked the textures and shape of the bell.
