Always dreamed of becoming a professional guitarist? Perhaps you can't afford to have lessons and learn? Where do you start? Is it just luck, or can the hard work pay off?

This website provides you with all the information you need in order to become a professional guitarist.
We provide free tabs, a clear explanation of the guitar fret board and how everything links together, making it easy for you to learn in the fastest way.
When a singer is picked from obscurity and made famous by a record label, there is a considerable amount of luck involved.
Getting work as a guitarist is a whole different ball game and does not require any luck really! So do not let that scare you.

In order to become a successful, professional guitarist, you need to learn and consider the following points.
  • Practice! You need to be doing at least 3 hours a day for a year before you can even think about getting work! Most musicians practice 4-10 hours a day, they are your competition!!
  • Network! Make yourself known, get involved in jam nights, start off doing a few small gigs and work your way up.
  • Manners! Be polite, make friends and contacts in order to increase your work prospects.
  • Criticism! Learn to take on criticism positively and criticise yourself fairly
  • Understand your own instrument and amplification as well as understanding others.
  • Location! If you live in the countryside, you are not going to meet anyone currently in the music industry. Find a city that has a big music industry and go there as much as possible, even live there if you can.
